The Vision
Founded in 2020, The Curb Appeal Co. was inspired by a belief that a truly beautiful home is one where the entire home, including the outside, is made to be beautiful.
After nearly 10 years in the home building industry, I’ve come to realize that exterior design, which is quite simply, designing the outside of the home, is a neglected niche in the design world. There is an endless number of blogs, magazines, TV shows, Instagram accounts, and design firms all dedicated to making the inside of the home beautiful. But what about the outside of the home? It’s the last image you see in your rear view mirror as you head off to work in the morning and the first one to welcome you back after a long day. Shouldn’t this part of your home spark the same joy as the inside?
The Curb Appeal Co. is a design blog dedicated to filling that niche. Here you will find inspiration and guidance on how to make the whole home beautiful. One that feels as good on the outside as it does on the inside.

My name is Emily and I’m passionate about making the world around me more beautiful.
If you had asked me in high school what I wanted to be when I grow up, I would have said an Interior Designer. Even at a very early age, I had a bit of an obsession with creating beautiful spaces. Never one to give up too easily, I continued to follow that dream into my 20’s as I began my career in the residential construction and home building industry.
Since then I’ve found myself chasing a new passion; exterior design. I believe that a truly beautiful home is one that is thoughtfully designed not just on the inside, but on the outside as well. However, after nearly 10 years in the industry, I’ve come to realize that the outside of the home is often overlooked.
That is why I created The Curb Appeal Co., a creative outlet where I can bring attention to the forgotten exterior by sharing what inspires me and what I’ve learned working in the industry for the past decade. I hope you’ll find your inspiration here as well.
